Coming August 2026
The Morfyk Trilogy in its entirety will be published in August 2026. If you're interested in receiving a free .pdf file of Book 1 and a free .epub file, then subscribe to the mailing list. When the books launch, I'll send you your free copies and a link to the paperbacks.
Where will they be published?
All paperbacks and .epubs for Kindle will be available on Amazon (I think). The hard copies will be sold on my website, where I intend to connect to Lulu.com for high-quality binding. However, I'm still debating whether or not to release the series on Amazon. Sure, everyone says it'll drive traffic and discovery. But first, what I'm more interested in is finding a community of readers who will enjoy the books.
The Morfyk Trilogy is lore-dense, about metaphysical concepts and systems, and because I wrote it, tends to get technical at times (although I keep the foot easy on exposition). It's fun, action-packed, and philosophical, waxing on themes of reality, identity, corporatism, classicism, and loyalty.
The second reason I'm questioning an Amazon release is the volume of AI slop. There's a ton of it, and it's not stopping anytime soon. Competing against ChatGPT-generated stories is impossible. Readers are easily misled by AI, and the system doesn't penalize it. A nobody like me will get buried.
Ironically, for an AI scientist like myself, I don't condone the use of AI to write my novels. I'm steeped in AI constantly - it's my job. It's my Ph.D! Writing offers me an escape from AI. To use it as a crutch to "author" the very content I am worldbuilding seems disingenuous and worse, utterly boring. You'll notice that all the cover art is illustrated and designed by real humans, as well.
So, if you're interested in human-led writing and human-led art, then the Morfyk Trilogy might be for you.
