Printing out a draft book lets me experience the words like a reader. This is an old cover from last year for Emulation.

Always seeking feedback from interested readers! The Morfyk Trilogy is lore-dense, has a smattering of hard scifi, and is deeply focused on computer science and AI concepts. But it's fun, action-packed, and features an ensemble of characters that are thoughtful, vengeful, reckless, deceitful, innocent, arrogant, naive, and loyal beyond reason. If you answer "yes" to any of the below, it might be a fun read​:

  • You like the ideas behind books like Sea of Tranquility, Solaris, Blindsight, Hyperion, and The Dark Tower series.
  • You enjoy metaphysical, philosophical science fiction, the kind that has abstract ideas, questions about free will, and reality.
  • You like a book with multiple POV, and diverse characters.
  • Cosmic evil is interesting to you.
  • Fusing genre tropes like cosmic horror, cyberpunk, and dystopia is interesting to you.
  • You enjoy new terms, vocabulary, and technical ideas.
  • You can handle a bit of light romance.
  • You can stomach violence, drugs, and sex.
  • You've been intrigued with simulation theory, genetic engineering, AI sentience, and time.
  • You enjoy movies like Annihilation, Arrival, and TV shows like Severance that have an unsettling and something-beneath-it-all feel.
